Highlighted Locations
With so many beautiful places to choose from, narrowing it down can feel overwhelming. These are some of my favorite and most frequently requested locations; Each with its own unique look, atmosphere, and little details that make it special.
Below, I’ve highlighted what I love about each location, what kind of scenery you can expect, and the overall feel it brings to a session. Whether you're dreaming of something romantic and elegant, natural and laid-back, or a little more adventurous, there’s something here for every vision.
Lakeside Park
One of my most popular locations by far, and for good reason. Lakeside Park is known for its stunning willow trees, peaceful pond, geese, and beautifully maintained greenery. The surrounding area has a soft, romantic feel with plenty of variety for photos, making it perfect for seniors, couples, engagements, families, and just about any session where you want something timeless and lush.
Samuell Farms
One of my absolute favorite locations and easily one of my most popular! Samuell Farm has barns, wide open fields, mature trees, wooded areas, and beautiful natural scenery that gives photos such a warm, romantic, and slightly rustic feel. There’s so much variety here, which makes it perfect for seniors, couples, families, and just about any session. This is definitely one of my most highly recommended locations.
Because Samuell Farm is farther outside my normal travel area, an additional travel fee applies for sessions at this location.
Turtle Creek Park
One of my personal favorite locations because it gives you the best of both worlds: beautiful scenery and gorgeous architecture. Between the stone details, bridges, mature trees, and lush greenery, there are so many different looks we can create without having to travel far. It has a romantic, timeless feel that works beautifully for seniors, couples, engagements, and more elevated sessions.
Flippen Park
A beautiful, elegant little park with manicured greenery, stone pathways, fountains, and charming architectural details throughout. It has a romantic, timeless feel that photographs especially well for seniors, couples, and dressier sessions, while still giving plenty of variety within a relatively small area.
Kiest Park
A beautiful option for anyone wanting a more natural, colorful feel. Kiest Park has open greenery, mature trees, and during the right season, gorgeous sunflower areas that make for such a fun and vibrant backdrop. It photographs especially well for seniors, couples, and anyone wanting something a little more playful and outdoorsy while still keeping that soft, romantic feel.
Katherine Rose Memorial Park
A beautiful, peaceful location with lots of greenery, mature trees, open grassy areas, and a really soft natural feel. One of the prettiest features is the water fountain, which adds a more elegant touch and gives us another beautiful backdrop to work with. It’s a great option for seniors, couples, families, and anyone wanting something classic, outdoorsy, and versatile.
Dallas Botanical Gardens
A beautiful choice for anyone wanting a lush, colorful, and romantic setting. With manicured gardens, seasonal flowers, greenery, pathways, and elegant landscaping, there are plenty of beautiful backdrops throughout the property. This location is especially lovely for seniors, couples, maternity, and more polished portrait sessions.
Please keep in mind that this location does come with additional fees, including admission and parking, which are separate from your session cost.
Cedar Hill State Park
A great choice for anyone wanting a more waterfront, outdoorsy feel. Cedar Hill State Park has tons of natural scenery, from wooded areas and open fields to lake views, which gives us plenty of room to create a gallery with lots of variety. The warmer, natural tones here are especially beautiful during sunset sessions.
Highland Park Village
A gorgeous option for a more polished, upscale look. The beautiful architecture, tiled walkways, storefronts, arches, and manicured surroundings give photos a timeless, editorial feel while still feeling warm and romantic. It’s especially perfect for seniors, couples, engagements, or anyone wanting something a little more elevated than a traditional park setting.
Pecan Valley Park
A beautiful location with open grassy areas, mature trees, and a soft, natural feel that photographs especially well around golden hour. The scenery gives photos a warm, dreamy look with plenty of open space for both close-up portraits and wider, more cinematic shots. It’s a great choice for seniors, couples, or anyone wanting something relaxed, outdoorsy, and a little more editorial.
Airfield Falls
Another favorite of mine, a stunning natural location with beautiful greenery, willow trees, walking paths, and of course the falls. I especially recommend this location after we’ve had more rainfall, since the waterfall can dry up during hotter or drier stretches. Even without flowing water, though, Airfield Falls is still absolutely beautiful and offers plenty of gorgeous scenery for photos.
This is another one of my favorite willow-tree locations and a great choice for seniors, couples, families, or anyone wanting something soft, natural, and romantic.
Mockingbird Nature Park
One of my favorite locations in the spring when the flowers are blooming and everything feels especially colorful and alive. It’s also beautiful in the fall, when the tall grasses bring in warmer tones and a softer, more textured look. With walking trails, open grassy areas, and plenty of natural greenery, it’s a gorgeous choice for seniors, couples, families, or anyone wanting a relaxed, outdoorsy feel.
Adratica Village
A gorgeous and unique location with European-inspired architecture, stone buildings, winding walkways, and waterfront views that make the entire area feel incredibly romantic and elevated. It’s perfect for couples, engagements, seniors, or anyone wanting something a little more editorial and different from a traditional park setting.
Because Adriatica Village is farther outside my normal travel area, an additional travel fee applies for sessions at this location.
Lake Cliff
A charming Dallas location with a beautiful mix of greenery and historic architecture. One of the highlights is the Beaux-Arts-style stone pergola and formal garden area, with arches, a fountain, and flowers that create such a romantic, elegant backdrop. It’s a gorgeous choice for seniors, couples, and anyone wanting something that feels a little more timeless and distinctive than a traditional park.
Oliver Nature Park
A beautiful location with tons of little spots for variety throughout your session. Between the butterfly garden, wooden boardwalks, small dock, bridges, walking paths, and surrounding greenery, there are plenty of different backdrops without needing to leave the park. It’s a great choice for seniors, couples, families, or anyone wanting something natural, relaxed, and a little more visually varied.
River Legacy Park
A beautiful natural location with wooded trails, open greenery, and plenty of mature trees that give photos a soft, peaceful feel. One of the best things about River Legacy is that it stays pretty year-round, making it a reliable option in just about any season. It’s a great choice for seniors, couples, families, or anyone wanting something relaxed, outdoorsy, and timeless.
Lakeside Park - Duncanville
A beautiful option if you want something a little more woodsy and natural than many of the other locations on this list. The mature trees, lake views, and small dock give the park a peaceful, tucked-away feel while still offering plenty of variety for photos. It’s a great choice for seniors, couples, families, or anyone wanting something outdoorsy, relaxed, and a little different from the more manicured park settings.
Chandor Gardens
One of the most unique and special locations on this list. Chandor Gardens blends English garden design with Chinese-inspired architecture and details, creating such a beautiful mix of romantic, whimsical, and artistic backdrops throughout the property. Between the stonework, garden paths, water features, lush landscaping, and intricate architectural elements, every corner feels completely different and gives us so much variety for photos.
This location does require an entry fee and photography pass, and an additional travel fee applies due to the distance. It is definitely a more premium location option, but in my opinion, it is absolutely worth it for how unique and stunning the setting is.
Highland Park Library
A stunning location both inside and out, with beautiful architecture, a charming outdoor courtyard, and a completely different feel once you step indoors. The exterior gives you a classic, elegant backdrop, while the interior has a moodier, more intimate atmosphere that works beautifully for something a little more editorial. It’s a great choice for seniors, couples, or anyone wanting a location with a polished, sophisticated feel and lots of variety.
Forever Young Records
A super fun and unique option for anyone wanting something with more personality and a little bit of an edgy, nostalgic feel. Between the rows of records, colorful album covers, vintage details, and music-filled atmosphere, there are tons of interesting backdrops that make photos feel completely different from a traditional outdoor session. It’s especially great for seniors, couples, or anyone wanting something creative, laid-back, and a little more editorial.
Fort Worth Botanic Garden
A stunning, polished location filled with lush greenery, beautifully maintained gardens, seasonal blooms, winding pathways, and elegant landscaping throughout. With so many distinct areas to explore, it offers an incredible amount of variety while still keeping a romantic, timeless feel. It’s an especially beautiful choice for seniors, couples, engagements, maternity sessions, or anyone wanting a more refined botanical setting.
